Sustainability In The Community

1. Sustainability is one's ability to maintain a certain state of being without the assistance from outside sources.

2. To the people in the movie that we watched, sustainability means living in the highest of their standards, in that they strive to conserve the earth's resources and consume as little energy and oil as they can to make their lives in the future more stable ones to live.

3. Because the demand for energy has increased dramatically and continues to grow as we speak, this has a detrimental affect on living a sustainable life. The price that we must pay for all the energy that has been wasted away, is that we must conserve, and use less energy than need. There have to be significant, effective changes made if we want to have a stronger, supportable amount of energy left in fifty years from now.

4. Some things these people can do to make their current lives more sustainable is use a different form of transportation, as in carpool, ride a bike, take the bus, or walk. Turning off lights as you leave a room is very helpful as well as unplugging things that are not in use, even if they are used often on a daily basis.
